This year intends to be as productive as 2007 as Coach Tim Shea once again leads the way with Quest Soccer at Virginia Gardens. Quest Soccer director Jason Aquila had this to say about the Virginia Gardens Camp. "The real soccer advantage is not only Tim Shea the assistant mens soccer coach at Barry University, but as the head men's varsity coach at Miami Springs Senior High, Tim is in such an incredible position to evaluate, process, and refer soccer talent before it gets to the high school era. For an aspiring soccer player to be able to go to Quest Soccer at Virginia Gardens and have them exposed to their potential high school or even college coach is a huge advantage."

Quest Soccer Camp at Virginia Gardens will be at the Miami Springs 2008 4th of July parade

The Quest Soccer Camp will be at the Miami Springs 4th of July parade promoting the Quest Soccer Camp at Virginia Gardens. The parade begins at the venerable Miami Springs recreation center on Westward Drive and continues east down Westward Drive to the Miami Springs Circle. From there the route continues south down Curtiss Parkway where it commences at the Miami Springs Country Club. Quest Soccer Camp at Virginia Gardens coordinator Tim Shea will be on hand to answer any questions concerning the Quest Soccer Camp at Virginia Gardens.

Quest Soccer Camp finishes successful first week at Ft. Pierce; now moves onto Kendall, Virginia Gardens, and Port St. Lucie

The Quest Soccer Camp at Ft. Pierce has successfully completed their inaugural week at Ft. Pierce and Quest Soccer Camp is now poised to move on to their next soccer camps at Virginia Gardens, Kendall, and Port St. Lucie.

Ron Basile who served as Quest Soccer camp Coordinator in Ft. Pierce will be bringing his winning ways and his competent staff later in the summer to Quest Soccer in Port St. Lucie. Jason Aquila the Quest Soccer Camp Director noted that "Ron Basile has such a knowledge for the game and he really communicates great soccer through action as well as speech to the players. We feel very fortunate to have Coach Ron on staff with us and are equally looking forward to what he can do in Port St. Lucie."

Tim Shea will be on his game also as he brings the Quest Soccer Camp to Virginia Gardens Florida for it's third year in a row. Tim serves as the Camp coordinator fro Quest Soccer at Virginia Gardens and his hometown roots and coaching ability have been a big part of the community's continued soccer success. "Tim's been playing and coaching in the Virginia Gardens-Miami Springs area his whole life, and throughout his whole life scores of great teams and players have come from the region. That is not a coincidence." said Aquila

Philadelphia University women's soccer sensation Heather Walton will be taking her soccer skills from Quest Soccer camp at Palmetto Bay to Quest Soccer Kendall where she will share co-coordinator roles with A.J Diaz a soccer standout in Dade County and former football field goal kicker for the University of Alabama. Both Heather and A.J will be leading the first ever Quest Soccer Camp held at Kendall (Florida).

"Through our alliance with Junior Premier Sports, Heather and A.J will conduct the first Quest Soccer Camp held at an astroturf facility. Besides the great astroturf field, there is also a swimming pool and a great natural grass facility. Quest soccer camp continues to grow and our campers are enjoying the flexibility of different venues." said Aquila

Quest Soccer Camp finishes successful soccer camp in Palmetto Bay; now moves onto Ft. Pierce

Quest Soccer has completed their 2008 Palmetto Bay Soccer Camp and now move north along I-95 to begin their inaugural soccer camp opening at Ft. Pierce. The Quest Soccer Camp at Ft. Pierce begins June 23rd through June 27th. Quest Soccer Camp coordinator Ron Basile will be running the Quest Soccer Camp at Ft. Pierce. when asked about the Quest Soccer Camp at Ft. Pierce, Quest Soccer Director Jason Aquila stated: "When you have a talent like Ron Basile on staff you know that the quality of soccer instruction is going to be incredible. It's the perfect trifecta. We just finished Quest soccer at Palmetto Bay where our other camp coordinators Donna Holyman (Tampa) and Tim Shea (Virginia Gardens) just were with us for two weeks and now the camp moves north with Ron Basile. We're excited to say the least."

The Quest Soccer Camp at Ft. Pierce is being held at St. Anastasia School located at 401 South 33rd Street.

Florida Soccer Scene Now (FSSN) How exactly was it that Ron Basile became a part of Quest Soccer Camps?
Quest Soccer Camp Director Jason Aquila (JA) "Myself and Mike Hearns are both the founders and directors of the Quest Soccer Camp. Mike and Ron were teammates at Southern Connecticut State University from 1980 on to 1984. Southern Connecticut State University has a stellar reputation that has gone on for nearly 30 years continuously. It is a great college soccer program. The list of Southern Connecticut players, and players who are now coaches, is beyond impressive. Now with Ron rejoining up with Mike, we feel that the Quest Soccer Camps just took a quantum leap."
FSSN: Can you elaborate more about these teammates of Mike and Ron Basile?
JA: "Its overwhelming. Almost too hard to document. University of Connecticut Head Men's Soccer Coach Ray Reid, as well as assistant coach John Deeley. The University of Bridgeport Head Men's Soccer Coach Brian Quinn, Fairfield University Women's Head Soccer Coach Jim O'Brien, The Citadel Women's Head Soccer Coach Bob Winch, Former MLS champions The Kansas City Wizards Coach Brian Bliss , I truly lose track sometimes. Mike or Ron should probably be answering this question because they know more than I but from the top of my head those names come to mind.
FSSN:  How did Ron Basile become a part of Quest Soccer Camps?
JA: "Ron was looking to further his already notable soccer experiences in the soccer camp world and he contacted Mike and here we are about to embark on a dual trip of talent and expansion.
FSSN: What can you tell us about Ron Basile?
JA: Ron Basile is still the all time leading scorer at Southern Connecticut State University, that's a record that has held for over 25 years. When you think of all the national tournaments and national championships won by that program, coupled with the players who have come out of that program, advancements in shoe design, turf technology, nutrition information, strength and conditioning advances, and so on it is amazing that he scored as many goals as he did and how it has stood the test of time. Ron played professionally in Belgium as well as Haiti and was a continual All New England, All American, and All Region player. He was selected for the then named "Iron Horse Award" which is awarded to the best high school player in New York.
FSSN: What do you see in the future for Quest Soccer Camps?
JA:  "In the short run we foresee continual expansion, but we also see in the long run that expansion to be moderated and directed by our outstanding staff like Tim Shea, Donna Holyman, and now Ron Basile. Innovative, quality fused soccer mixed with fun and educational approaches to the world's game with some of the best current and former players we can get."
FSSN: Sounds like you have a winning combination
JA:"In more ways than one."

Quest Soccer comes "full circle" in Virginia Gardens

The Quest Soccer Camp once again will be held at the recreation field located in the Village of Virginia Gardens. The Quest Soccer Camp at Virginia Gardens (Quest VG) plans to bring the same high quality soccer instruction from years past. Quest soccer staff members Mike Hearns, A.J Diaz,Chris Deno and Tim Shea all learned to play the game of soccer as children at the Virginia Gardens recreation field. "It's all coming full circle. " said Quest Soccer Camp Coordinator Tim Shea. "Mike and I were teammates in the 80's, he was A.J's first soccer coach when A.J was 9 years old, I taught Chris and now we've all worked and taught for Quest Soccer. Both Chris and A.J Diaz went on to be All Dade County Soccer Team members, Chris has been on a National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 Championship team, while A.J went on to be the field goal kicker for the University of Alabama football team. I had my success at Wofford and Mike's success at Southern Connecticut State University is very well known." said Tim.
"An assembled staff with great competency and success married with hometown roots. How can you top that?" asked Tim

Quest Net Assault camper Ceci Colon scores 37 goals enroute to her selection to the 2008 Miami Herald All Dade Women's Soccer Team

Ceci Colon, a previous Quest Soccer Camp attendee, and a Quest Net Assault attendee has been named to the 2008 Miami Herald All Dade County Women's Soccer team. Ceci a sophomore at Miami's Westminster Christian School had 37 goals and 22 assists for the lady warriors. Quest Net Assault Coach Tim Shea saw a huge rise in Ceci's goal scoring ability based on her performance at the Quest Net Assault Camp. "What I saw in Ceci was a rapid awareness and connectivity to her, and her relationship to the goal. Ceci developed a quick and decisive mindset coupled with the technical and tactical advantages we gave her." Ceci not only attended the Quest Net Assault Camp but she is also a Quest Soccer Camp alumni and current staff member. Jason Aquila the Director of the Quest Soccer Camp stated that "Fundamentally Ceci is one of the best in the county and destined for even bigger numbers. Her participation in the Quest Net Assault Camp not only dramatically improved her game but elevated her into the top scoring rankings of Dade County. Even as a sophomore she has caught the eye of plenty of college coaches."
The Quest Soccer Camp has had on staff 11 Miami Herald All Dade County Soccer team members.
